Thank you!

"Hospice in the Weald is exceptionally grateful to The Marketing Eye as marketing partner for the Red 8 Event ( a first ever corporate event for us).  They have been invaluable in helping to promote what has become such a high profile and much talked about event.  As well as being professional and thorough - they have also been wonderful to work with."

The Marketing Eye backs Hospice in the Weald for Dame Kelly Holmes Dinner

Double Olympic gold winner Dame Kelly Holmes has been unveiled as the very special guest at Hospice in the Weald's 2012 black-tie corporate dinner.

‘The Torchlight Dinner' will be taking place on Friday 24 February 2012 in the sumptuous surroundings of Hever Castle.

The dinner is being held in association with The Marketing Eye and boasts a packed programme of entertainment, including a professional MC and an auction with some amazing prizes.  The Torchlight Dinner follows the success of Hospice in the Weald's very first black-tie corporate dinner - Red8 - which took place in February this year and raised more than £20,000 for the charity.

"The Marketing Eye proved to be a great member of the organising team for Red8, helping us with many aspects of the event, including social media and PR - and we're delighted that they are onboard with us again for The Torchlight Dinner," says Rachel Holweger.

Adds Neil Edwards, managing director of The Marketing Eye: "We are very happy to be involved again with the Hospice. We enjoyed working with the team on Red8 and are developing some exciting plans for The Torchlight Dinner."

Dame Kelly is a local girl, born in Pembury and brought up in Tonbridge: she has been a keen supporter of Hospice in the Weald for a number of years.

"We are delighted that Dame Kelly has agreed to support The Torchlight Dinner and we know that local business people will be really interested to hear what she's got to say in Olympic year," says Rachel Holweger, Fundraising Director at Hospice in the Weald. "Next year is a very busy one for her and we appreciate that her time is precious. She's been a great supporter of Hospice in the Weald over the years and has come to our help again."

The Tunbridge Wells branch of Handelsbanken has already signed-up as a key sponsor for the event, as has accounting firm Creaseys, but Hospice in the Weald is currently on the look-out for additional corporate sponsors to support The Torchlight Dinner.

"We would love to hear from any organisations which would like to support us and benefit from the wide ranging PR that this event will generate," says Rachel. "We need to raise £5 million each year to keep our facilities open - and the local business community is extremely important to us."

Hever Castle, near Edenbridge, is the childhood home of Ann Boleyn and dates back to 1270.

"To be holding The Torchlight Dinner at Hever Castle is extremely exciting," says Rachel. "The team at Hever have been very helpful and are working with us to make the event both memorable and enjoyable."

Tables of ten are available for £600 (or individual tickets at £65). For more information and details of sponsorship opportunities, please contact Rachel Holweger at Hospice in the Weald, tel: 01892 820536, or email: rachel.holweger@hospiceintheweald.org.uk
